These tactile silver spiral stud earrings are by Malvern artist, Carol James. As well as being a fantastically creative jeweller Carol is also a specialist in ancient British rock art and much of her jewellery, including this range, is inspired by many hours spent investigating burial chambers and caves, particularly in Anglesey.

This particular range is inspired by a day spent tracing spiral shapes in caves in Barclodiad Rock Art y Gawres. The design is loosely based on the multitude of spiral shapes created by our ancestors.

The spiral earrings are fixed to silver posts with butterfly backs. They would make a wonderful gift for a loved one who adores simple yet unusual jewellery.

This item comes presented in a lovely turquoise iapetus jewellery box along with information about caring for your new jewellery and about the artist who made it.

About Silverfish Designs

Carol James, the talented creator behind Silverfish Designs, lived and worked on the scenic Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. With a background in archaeology, her passion for prehistoric rock art deeply influenced her jewellery, which blends contemporary and organic styles. 

After beginning her journey in silversmithing in 2000, Carol's unique pieces were showcased in galleries and craft shows across the UK.

Though Carol sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this year (2024), her legacy endures through her exquisite, meaningful designs that celebrate the beauty of nature and history.
