Collection: Esgob Rock Art Jewellery

This unusual jewellery collection is inspired by a prehistoric carved stone now at Llwydiarth Esgob.

This boulder stands outside a derelict farmhouse on Anglesey. It is thought that a previous owner was a collector of antiquities and that the stone had been moved to its current site as part of his collection. The style of art is unusual for Welsh rock art, its concentric circles are comparable to those found in Ireland, but its exact origin is unknown.

Carol and colleagues excavated the site back in 2008 to expose the depth of the stone and extent of the carvings which suggests that there would have been more to this stone and that it may have been broken in the past.
