It’s been a two year hiatus but we’ve finally ventured out of our home town of Malvern on the hunt for new handmade wonders! So far we’ve been to two trade shows - Spring Fair in Birmingham and Top Drawer in London, with three more to come in the next two months.
Missing out on trade shows has been one of the big things we’ve missed most during Covid. Whilst our wonderful artists have been so fantastic at letting us know about their gorgeous new creations, there’s nothing like seeing and discovering the work in the flesh. Plus, it gives us a great opportunity to have a chin-wag with our long-standing makers and get-to-know prospective artists!
Our two expeditions have definitely been worth it, bearing fruit in the form of amazing new handmade delights which will be arriving on the shelves of iapetus gallery and iapetus.co.uk in the next few weeks and months.
Take a look below to see the new wonders and follow our Facebook feed to keep up-to-date on our future finds.
Oh, and if anything catches your eye and you’d like to be notified when it arrives just contact us...
Whilst we love to champion young and up-and-coming artists, sometimes it’s good to bring in work from a true hero of the handmade world. Alex Monroe definitely fits that bill. His nature-inspired jewellery is much loved worldwide for its unique detail, character and craftsmanship. Alex, along with his team of highly-skilled jewellers and designers, has been proudly hand making jewellery in England using a mix of traditional and specifically developed techniques for over 30 years.
Above is a small glimpse at the beautiful collection of Alex Monroe’s jewellery that will be arriving at iapetus in the next couple of months.
Amanda Coleman and her delicate jewellery has been with us for many years, and yet her creativity never ceases to amaze. Coming soon to iapetus is a wonderful new collection inspired by beautiful blooms, swirling swallows, fancy flamingos and dashing doggies!

An old favourite is coming back to iapetus and we’re so happy about it! Arthouse Unlimited (formally Arthouse Meath) is a charity that creates British-made products featuring artwork by adults with learning disabilities, many of whom live with severe epilepsy and physical disabilities.
The majority of Arthouse artists experience severe epilepsy. To reduce epileptic seizures for those living with epilepsy, it is important the brain is occupied, enthused and interested. This is part of the service Arthouse Unlimited provides.
Their aim is to give artists a sense of self-worth, and develop pride and confidence by showing the possibilities of what can be achieved. Money from the work sold goes back into the project for further development and the Arthouse artists all receive incentive payments.
So, coming to iapetus very soon will be a multi-coloured collection of mugs, cards, soaps, badges and seriously yummy chocolate all celebrating the incredible artwork of Arthouse’s artists.
As soon as we saw the fantastic artwork by Black Hen we had to get it into iapetus! Featuring all your favourite creatures, artists Andrew and Vida Pain have created a series of colourful 2D quirky illustrations with humour and charm.
Each illustration is innovatively float mounted on acrylic glass which means they cast a lovely soft shadow. They come mounted and framed ready to hang straight on your wall.
Arriving in the next few weeks we don’t think they’ll be hanging around at iapetus gallery for very long!
We’re a sucker for ceramics! Which is why we are so excited to bring Selborne Pottery’s beautiful pieces to iapetus.
Selborne Pottery was established by Robert Goldsmith 35 years ago in the beautiful and historic Hampshire village of Selborne. Each piece of stoneware is hand thrown and decorated in rich blue and deep red glazes. Many pieces have gold lustre detail which really adds a luxurious opulence.
As each piece is handmade to order don’t expect this to arrive for a few months, but when it does you’ll discover a wonderful collection of mugs, bowls, jugs, vases and lamp bases to tempt you!
One of our longest standing makers, Lancaster and Gibbings have always created the most beautiful pewter gifts. Their new collection is no different, with pretty new mini-photo frames, sweet new trinket boxes and (drum-roll please) a brand new collection of pewter jewellery!

Due in a few weeks, and coming to a sofa near you soon after!
Vikki Lafford Garside’s gorgeous little animal and insect brooches are created so skillfully you’d be forgiven for thinking they were real! But don’t worry, no creatures were harmed in the making of her embroidered fabric brooches.
Vikki has created a wonderful new collection of brooches including new butterflies, beetles, birds and British wildlife. Arriving in time for Mother’s Day.
