It's not long now until the UK will see a coronation for the first time in 70 years, for many people this is the first they have ever seen - so this all makes the countdown to May 6th even more exciting. It's a great time to shine a light on all the UK has to offer.
Here at iapetus we have always been very proud to support British crafts and their makers. The majority of our handmade goodies originate from our green and pleasant lands.

Tregear Pottery is known for creating beautiful ranges of hand thrown stoneware pottery. It was founded by Neil Tregear who learnt his craft during a rigorous throwing apprenticeship in the porcelain workshops of Kyoto, Japan. His studio is based in the Isle of Wight and his designs are often influenced by the isle’s natural beauty. Sea motifs regularly appear in his work as he lives in Niton which is situated on the rocky South coast of the isle.

From left to right: Ceramic kayaking miniature sculpture, portrait of Andrew Bull, Ceramic man with bunch of roses miniature sculpture.
Andrew Bull creates whimsical mini-sculptures in his back-garden workshop in Kent. His gorgeously unique sculptures come to life by firing ceramic three times - firstly, in a bisque, secondly to glaze and then thirdly to add that beautiful lustre. With each sculpture being made individually, there will never be two that are exactly the same. Originally inspired by William Heath Robinson’s cartoons, his work has evolved to the wonderful pieces you see here.
