About Sophie Smith

Sophie Smith's quirky and creative ceramics are handbuilt using Limoges earthenware casting slip. She creates different textures and designs by cutting into the wet clay and by using slips as well as gloss and matt glazes. Finally Sophie adds gold and platinum precious metals to create an alluring finish, and each piece is fired three times. Her work has an emphasis on colour and fun!
