Namaste believe that by supporting a market encouraging the recycling and re-use of plastic bottles, the negative impact on our natural environment is reduced. PET yarn is made from recycled plastic bottles. The plastic is shredded into flakes, melted, extruded and spun into polyester yarn and thread to make useful new items. Gently patterned, this eco friendly throw offers stain and UV resistance and suitability for asthma sufferers. Soft to the touch, washable and quick drying; the versatile fabric is equally useful inside or out. Use in the home or as a car/picnic blanket.
This throw has been hand woven in India from 100% PET Yarn Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles. It is a fair trade product meaning the artisans who craft it are paid a fair wage and work in safe conditions.
