This beautiful and elegant two-tone pendant is inspired by by the Viking twist torques in the British Museum. Crafted by hand curling in silver the inside of one groove of the twist is gold plated creating a stunning contrast between the two precious metals. This is a truly glorious piece perfect for any lover of unusual handmade jewellery.
Fi Mehra has worked out a way to make the twist as close as possible to how the Viking’s originally created them. The bangle started as Fi hand making the twisted master, then having that master cast in silver, hall marked, then gold plated in the curved grooves.
The bangle is created from two identical curving twists. They are linked in the centre with a silver jump ring and finished with a link chain and lobster catch meaning it can be worn at different lengths, so is suitable for small and medium wrist sizes. It also makes it a really comfy bangle for those who dislike wearing solid bangles.
Just for good measure the link chain even has a tiny gold ball added on the final link to make the piece even more special!
