About Dawn Maciocia

Dawn Maciocia's work is collage based. She paints all her papers she uses in her collages with quality acrylics and inks and applies various mark making techniques before collaging. Dawn then plays with colour and texture before layering. She prefers not to use scissors but instead tears the papers into shape so they have a more sculptural feel to them. She combines her painted papers with found materials like stamps, tea bags, sweet wrappers and old letters to create a truly original work of art.
