melted silver ring with faceted sky blue topaz by fi mehra

This beautiful handcrafted organic silver ring has been handmade by Fi Mehra. It has been set with a faceted sky blue topaz gemstone. The band has a melted texture creating the matt, slight bubbling texture. The faceted gemstone, which glistens beautifully in the natural light, is held in a raised silver setting. The ring is super comfortable and is sure to become a firm favourite ring!

Birthstone: November

About topaz: Topaz is the birthstone for the month of December, and the stone given in celebration of the 4th and 19th anniversaries of marriage. Topaz is a symbol of love and affection, and has been said to be an aid to ones sweetness and disposition.

Topaz gets its name from the Greek word topazion, which may originate from the Sanskrit tapas, meaning, “fire.” The name might also come from the name of the Egyptian island of topazos (now St Johns island) in the Red Sea. The Latin writer Pliny the Elder used the island’s name for a yellowish green stone found there, and it soon became the name for most yellow stones. Topaz was once predominantly found there but is now also found in Brazil, Nigeria, Australia, Burma, and Mexico.

Presentation: The ring comes beautifully presented in an iapetus turquoise jewellery box with information about the artist and caring for your jewellery.

Materials: silver, sky blue topaz

Size: Band - width, 4mm / setting - height, 3mm

Frequently asked questions about ordering rings with iapetus

What size do I need to order?

If you're buying a ring the safest way to get the size right is to go to a local jeweller and ask them to size your or the recipient's finger. This can be done either by measuring the finger or a ring that already fits correctly. Please be aware that the width of the band can change the size required, so be sure that the sizing is done with a band of similar width to the one you're buying. Wide/deep rings tend to fit tighter, dainty/slim rings tend to fit looser. We use 'centre' measurement, not 'leading edge' (your jeweller will know what this means!). If you need any advice please contact us.

The ring size I need is out of stock. Will it come into stock soon?

We generally only hold one size of each ring in stock, so orders for sizes out of stock will be made specifically for you by the artist once you have placed the order. Please select the size of ring you need from the ring size drop-down box.

When will I receive my ring once ordered?

Most rings will take between 3-5 weeks to make for you depending on the artist, time of year etc. However, if you do need it for a specific date please contact us and we'll do our best to get your ring to you in time.

What happens if I've ordered the wrong size?

Most of our rings can be resized by our artists. There will be a small charge to cover the time and postage costs for this. Please note: if your ring is a custom order/has been made for you, we cannot issue a refund. Please contact us to discuss your resizing requirements.

Can this ring be made in another metal?

Many of our rings can be made in other metals, i.e. silver, yellow gold, rose gold, white gold etc. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. If it is possible we will then come back to you with a quote and timescale for making the ring.
